Featured Artist : Sertab Erener

I liked Sertab Erener's first album. However, I fell in love with her newer album, Aşk Ölmez, which I'm planning to translate and put up on this website soon. With her album Aşk Ölmez, her voice and music both seem to have matured quite a bit.

Sertab's voice is free and strong, fresh and full of energy. She can hit the high notes and hold them. Her image is lighthearted, uplifting and playful, a quality also of her songs. Sertab was also the 2003 Eurovision winner with her English song, Every Way That I Can. She has also released an English album, No Boundaries.

Sertab Erener works often with Sezen Aksu, the queen of Turkish popular music and a brilliant poet (and one of my favorite musicians), which may explain the high quality of her songs.
